TripleMania XXIII, Midcontinent Still Rocks and Customer Service Thoughts

It is late August and as I do towards the end of each month, I check my cable bill. It was extra important to check it this month given the issues I had with TripleMania XXIII.
If you read that post, you probably won’t be surprised to learn that there were issues with my bill. If you read that post, you will also not be surprised to learn that Midcontinent Communications took care of the problem in a quick and very fair manner.

Softwaring Thin: Why Updating to a New Version is No Fun

This morning, I awoke to news guaranteed to strike fear in my heart every single time it comes up on my computer. I was informed that a new version of iTunes version 12.2.2 was now available and that I could download and install it now.

You know what? I’m fine, really. I’m sure I’ll install version 12.2.2 at some point in time, once I’ve done the appropriate amount of research into what kind of bad thing will happen to me when I do download and install it. If the sky won’t fall, then I’ll consider it but for now I’m in now real hurry.

A Question of Worth

Towards the end of each month, I sit down with my spreadsheet. I take my current bank balance and put it in one column. In the next column I put deposits and in the third column I put withdrawls. In the final column I have it calculate my bank balance after considering all three of those factors.
