If you would like to win some free audiobooks, of your choice, then this post is for you. On this week’s Talking Audiobooks we announced our Thanksgiving giveaway. This giveaway is so big, we had to announce it before Halloween!
I want to do a little something different on my blog. I’m hoping it will get me to write more often and will also help bring my blog and podcast closer together. I’m calling this Podcast Plus. It will be a post where I plug each week’s episode of the podcast but then offer some comments related to the episode that aren’t things you’d necessarily know by listening.
Hello everyone! I know I haven’t written in awhile. Things have generally been good with one really bad day thrown in for good measure. I am writing now specifically to plug the most recent episode of Talking Audiobooks.
I don’t always write a post on my blog plugging each new episode but that’s due more to laziness than anything else. I really should talk about each one because to only do them every now and then makes it seem as though I am playing favorites. That’s just not true, I enjoy each episode for one reason or another and hope that everyone listens to all of them, even though I know that’s not really realistic.
Hi all. I would point out that it has been awhile since I have written but you know that already. I hope you have had a nice week celebrating the 4th of July, Canada Day or just the fact that you survived another week.
Click here to access this week’s episode online or subscribe in iTunes. I thought this episode also turned out good. I’m feeling pretty comfortable hosting the show, growing the audience is the biggest worry I have these days.
The folks at Audiobooks.com are celebrating Audiobook Month with a lot of specials and giveaways. The biggest of these is a monthly giveaway where you can win (among other things) a 32GB iPad, or 1 of 30 yearly gift subscriptions to audiobooks.com and other prizes.
You can enter the giveaway by clicking here. You can enter daily through the entire month of June and gain bonus entries by referring others.
I also suggest you check out this link for all the details on what Audiobooks.com is doing to celebrate June is Audiobook month.
Hello, everyone. It has been awhile since I’ve written anything of substance on my blog. I suppose it could be argued that such a thing has never happened but I’ll just leave that one alone. I have been very busy lately. So busy in fact that I am only now mentioning that my debut as the solo host of Talking Audiobooks aired on June 2. You can access that episode here and a book review I did here.
I am going to talk about the podcast and some of the things we’re doing in this post. However, I don’t want my blog to become nothing more than an advertisement for my podcast. The fact I want my blog to be more puts me in a bit of a spot.
I’ve been working on getting things ready to take over as the host of the Talking Audiobooks podcast (see my previous post if you don’t know what I’m talking about). Most of what I have been doing has been related to social media but I’ve also spent a lot of time thinking about what exactly I want to do on the show.
One question that I am still debating is how best to talk about sales that companies such as Audible have from time to time. This is an interesting question because unlike other things I might want to discuss on the show, these are more time sensative. A sale may last a few days and so it wouldn’t be helpful to anyone if I did an audio segment talking about a sale but it wasn’t published until the sale was over.
I have some ideas on how to handle this problem but I’m still trying certain things. I guess we’ll cross that bridge when we get there. For now though, and more than likely as things continue, I am still going to write about sales on this blog. Which finally brings me to the point of today’s post. Audible.com is having a 2 for 1 sale for members.
Hello everyone, long time, no write. Although I guess it hasn’t really been that long, it just feels like forever. Anyway, I am happy to say that I am writing with a purpose today as I have an announcement to make.
