Michael Wolff’s Fire and Fury has dominated a lot of the political discussion this month. The book was released on January 5 in part because the White House’s attemptat getting the release stopped entirely resulted in the date being moved up from January 9. The book has been a top the best seller charts ever since then and ran through it’s initial print runs easily.
The nice thing about the audiobook is that you don’t have to worry about it being temporarily out of stock when you try to order it. But why order the audiobook when you have a chance to win one of 5 copies?
I listened to the book when it was released. I got through it in about a day. I enjoyed Holter Graham’s performance quite a bit. I have some issues with the book’s contents, mainly the author’s note. In the author’s note, Wolff essentially admits that not everything in the book is true and that some of what he was told was lies but he let people tell their story. This is problematic because as a friend of mine pointed out, I don’t like having to wonder what is true and what isn’t in a book of nonfiction.
I found the book to be incredibly entertaining andriviting. How much did I really learn from it? I still don’t know almost 3 weeks later.
And before someone leaves a comment calling me a Trump defender, that is hardly the case. I am no Trump fan, one does not have to be a Trump defender to take issue with the book.
However, that is merely my interpretation of what I heard. Others might feel differently. That is part of the point of reading at least in my opinion. This is why we are
giving away the book, so you can decide for yourself.
