Merry Christmas

I just wanted to take a moment to wish everyone out there a very Merry Christmas. I hope that you are spending the day doing the things that bring you joy with the people that you love.

My family did our Christmas celebration on Thursday night to account for my mom’s work schedule. We had a nice meal although this is now the second year in a row that someone in my family has burnt a batch of cornbread. I might have to take matters into my own hands next year.

I spent my Christmas eve watching some boring football in the early afternoon. The Jets are absolutely atrocious in every way that is thinkable and a few ways that aren’t. Then I enjoyed the Raiders beatdown of the Colts until it turned into a nightmare when Derek Carr had his fibula broken. Then my heart crashed through the floor and I was rattled for the rest of the night before heading to bed at 9 PM.

As for today, if the weather holds out the plan is to head to the movie theater at 4:30 to see ‘Sing’. Then toss some pizzas in the oven and watch some Christmas stuff on Netflix. If the weather holds up, there will be no movie and no pizza and I will probably be by myself. I can honestly say that going to a movie on Christmas would be a new experience for me.

I think that is it for now. There is more I could write on other topics but that can wait foranother day.
