I could be in trouble. Why? Because for the next week, the folks at Downpour.com are having a $5.95 History Sale. They are offering 200 books in the history genre for only $5.95 each from now through June 30.
I love history. American history, ancient history, world history, war and other types of history are in my wheelhouse. I majored in history while I was in college and while I had a terrible college experience that ultimately led to me not graduating it certainly wasn’t the fault of history or any of the tremendous professors I had.
There are a few points of history in which I am not as strong as I am in others. For example, I’m not so well versed in World War I history. But the beauty of this sale is that it covers a wide range of historical topics and from a wide range of viewpoints. Unfortunately, history is one of those fields that is heavily influenced by bias and as a result it can be more difficult to come to the truth than it probably should be. That’s why offering a wide variety of perspectives is a good thing.
I have to say that I’ve been a member of Downpour.com for a few months now. There are a lot of things that I like about the service. For one thing, I can buy a new book credit pretty much any time that I want at a price of $12.99. This essentially means that pretty much the entire Downpour catalog of books can be had for $12.99 or less that’s a better value than the $14.95 per 1 audible credit plan. You do not need to have a downpour.com membership to take advantage of this sale.
If you choose to sign up for downpour, you can get your first book for free.
If you’re a history buff, browse the sale and maybe you’ll find something you’re interested in. Good luck!
Thank you so much for posting about this! I’ve never even heard of this site, but I am a newly interested history buff, so this will be the perfect thing for me. I will definitely check it out.
