Ginny in her final resting place

Spring has Sprung

Well, today is the first day of Spring. This should hopefully result in a change to my mood. I seem to be in better spirits during Spring and Summer months than Winter and Fall. Yes, I’ve shared that information previously but I get new followers every day (not quite true but you get my meaning) and not everyone is going to read all of the archives.

It is tough to say right now if that is going to prove true, however. This has been a weird week for me emotionally and it has resulted in some pretty weird behavior including yesterday’s post. I hope better times are ahead with more sunshine but I really don’t know for sure.

As you can see in the image accompanying this post, Ginny is home. Her ashes are now in an urn which is sitting (for now at least) on my entertainment center. It is so weird to me to have her ashes in an urn on my entertainment center. I mean, what used to be Ginny is inside this urn but Ginny herself isn’t in the urn at all. Ginny was more than her physical body and her personality isn’t anywhere near that urn. Also, while these are her ashes they are only ashes and don’t retain any of her physical beauty. And yet, even knowing all of that I feel good having part of her here in some form.

I don’t have much else to say and so I will call this entry good. Enjoy the first day of Spring, or if you are Megan you can enjoy the first day of fall.
