I’ve mentioned before that I’m not big on making resolutions for the new year. However, many people do and for those, Audible would like to help.
From now until Jan. 10, Audible is offering a $4.95 book sale to members. Most of the books fall under the self help genre.
You have categories such as: Healthy Living, Personal Finance, Business Leadership, Relationship & Family, Spirituality, Motivation & Inspiration and Develop New Skills from which to choose. Currently, the sale contains 102 titles and all are at that $4.95 price. Audible likes to add titles to their sales as they progress so that 102 title count could change before sale’s end.
Even though I don’t like to make resolutions I did set some goals for myself this year. However, I found a book in the sale I’ve been wanting to read for awhile. The Demographic Cliff: How to Survive and Prosper During the Great Deflation of 2014-2019 was one I first noticed when it was rreleased in 2014. I added it to my Audible wishlist but late last year I took all the books on my wishlist off and started it over from scratch. That book didn’t end up getting added back to the list but now that I see it n the sale I will probably pick it up.
Another book that may be worth my time is The 12 Week Year: Get More Done in 12 Weeks Than Others Do in 12 Months because time management has never been my strongest quality.
One book that caught my eye but for reasons I don’t quite understand is Law 101: Everything You Need to Know About American Law. Do we really need more lawyers? Unless you’re already a law student or headed that direction, who decides to become more familiar with the law as a new year’s resolution? I’m tempted to buy this book just because although I’m trying to cut down on “just because” purchases this year. That’s not a specifically stated goal or resolution of mine, however. Although I guess I just told you so now it is stated. Crap!
