Getting Things Done

When you can’t go to sleep because you’re too scared of what your dog will do on your carpet while you are asleep and don’t want to clean it up, you can get a lot of things accomplished.

That’s a nice opening for a post but it isn’t exactly true. When I was up with Ginny all night, I wasn’t doing much of anything but listening to podcasts and taking her outside.

Still, I feel like I got things done today. I got my recertification paperwork taken care of, it is an annual thing for my apartment and it was really getting down to the deadline. I also had a productive meeting this morning at 9:30. That’s quite an accomplishment considering all I wanted to do is go to sleep and go to the bathroom. That might be a slight exaggeration.

I still have some writing to do and that will get done eventually. I have to write a positivity list for October and I need to recap September. I have to get up the audiobooks thread for this month. I want to write about my new system of a monthly goal. I have some things to get done and it will be difficult because I will be out of town on Saturday.

Ginny is feeling a lot better. I have reintroduced food after just over 24 hours without it. I feed her two cups a day usually, one in the morning and one in the late afternoon. I just fed her half a cup to see how she handles it. Like I said, I’m going out of town this weekend and I don’t want to go with her still being ill…mainly because I’m afraid of what I might find when I come back home. I’ve asked my mom to watch her Saturday so we’ll see.

I’m also about to finish my first book of the month, yes, one book in one day. That is one thing you can do easily while staying up with a sick dog.
